BIG NEWS MONDAY 6/25/12

I am too excited to share my big news with all my readers and writing buddies.

Avalon Books, for which I wrote my first 4 books, is now a part of Amazon!  The purchase went through earlier this month.

I couldn’t be more pleased!  It is my understanding that all 4 books will be re-released in paperback and (drum roll please!) Kindle!!  This is fabulous news and I have read and reread the information sent to me by Amazon and every time I read it I am more and more thrilled!

So, click over to Amazon, buy my hardcover books or wait just a little while longer and you can be reading about Joey’s tales on Kindle soon!

Love to all,  Donna

HOME AND HEARTH WEDNESDAY 6/13/12

So, it’s hump day.  I hate that term it just sounds nasty.  LOL

Anyway, I think if we’re going to chat on a regular basis that you should at least get to know “the gang.”

First, there are 2 dogs:  Bebo and Holly.  Full names: Bebo Boy Dog and Holly Love Hound.

Next there are 2 cats: Spots and Phoebe.  They are not called that, they are called, respectively: Boo Kitty and Phubu Kitty.

Boo Kitty is the reason I’m not out of my mind.  She is the most loving animal in the world.  Because I am able to nurture her and love her — believe me she wants me to do that — I have forgiven my 22-year-old for moving out.  Probably the only reason.

So, go spend time with the puppies and kitties that make you happy! Give them special treats and lots of love!  They deserve it!

YOU WON’T BELIEVE THIS TUESDAY — 6/12/12

You won’t believe this, but a few weeks ago I grabbed the wrong end of the curling iron during my cut and color.  400 degrees.  I let go of it rather quickly, to say the least.

As I hurt-and believe me, I did-I started to wonder what I could do.  I came home and got on the internet.  I found a cure for burns.

AND THIS IS THE PART THAT YOU WON’T BELIEVE.

  1. Burn a piece of cotton material in a pot.
  2. Take the ashes and add olive oil (or any cooking oil) and make a paste.
  3. Wrap a piece of cotton (or plastic wrap) and wrap the paste onto the burn.

For about 10 minutes, you’ll hate me.  Then, the heat will begin to leave the burn.  By morning, I was fine.  I had one little red place where blisters should have been.

:)

Don’t forget, counting down to RomFest next week!

See ya soon!

Donna
